The Challenge:

The Red Cross is known for coordinating, enabling, and operating blood drives across the country. While they have an established direct-to-donor capability, coordinators could not organize drives digitally. We implemented an online blood drive coordinator experience to prevent coordinators and donors from turning to inefficient non-digital channels, or worse, not setting up blood drives at all.

Our Approach:

  • Devised a digital strategy to increase portal utilization, improve operational governance, and manage long term business objectives
  • Redesigned and re-platformed the Blood Drive Coordinator portal to improve the experience, create efficiencies, and drive coordinator adoption
  • Implemented a robust analytics solution and developed user-friendly reporting dashboards so the Red Cross can understand how coordinators and donors are using the portal and how best to continually optimize the experience
  • Integrated web performance data with backend data to provide a single source of truth
